This project was one that I truly poured my heart and soul into over the course of this 2023 Fall Semester. For my Directing class we were tasked, for our final project, to create a 3-5 minute 1 scene short to display our takeaway from the course and to display our directorial skills.
Having known the assignment parameters from a friend the past semester, I started brainstorming a script idea over the following summer and landed on a sci-fi drama that plays with the time-travel stories I love like Back to the Future and Meet the Robinsons.
I found many setbacks throughout the course of production, even up to an hour into our shoot. This project really taught me a lot about being a director and honestly gave me a ton of respect for directors as the responsibility one holds for communicating executing their vision the way they intend is intense but also extremely rewarding in the end when everything comes together.
I truly appreciate all of the help everyone involved in this project gave me even down to the tiniest things and this project was truly one of my favorites to work on.
